Fundamental Critical Care Support Course at NYSIM

In response to the anticipated COVID19 surge at the beginning of 2021, the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA) organized an intensive care unit cross-training initiative for independent safety-net hospitals aimed at strengthening the city's health care delivery system. The GNYHA coordinated online training and certification in the Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS) course that provides nonintensivists training to manage critically ill patients for the first 24 hours or until appropriate critical care consultation.
