Program changes can be made here. Please note, NYSIM will not make major modifications to requested dates, times, and equipment needs within 2 weeks of the program date.

NYSIM does not rent or lend equipment for off-site programs. Simulation-based medical education is a safe and effective way to allow individuals to refine their role in a multi-professional team environment, and to sharpen their performance. NYSIM's mission is based on similar principles used in simulation training in aviation and military industries - other professions where failure to perform a task correctly, and in a timely manner, can lead to harm.

The mission of NYSIM is to provide simulation education and research that fosters quality care, patient safety, and effective communication with patients and among health care professionals.

A partnership between NYU and City University of New York, NYSIM has the unique opportunity to offer simulation courses taught by faculty from each of these world-renowned institutions. As a result, learners benefit from access to a broad spectrum of simulation courses across nursing, medicine, and allied health fields. A sampling of courses offered at NYSIM can be viewed here.

NYSIM offers courses to a wide variety of learners which includes, but is not limited to, NYU and CUNY medical students, health science students, residents, and clinicians as well as first responders in the New York area. NYSIM also offers advanced faculty development courses, and sponsors monthly Grand Rounds meetings, symposia, and workshops.
