NYSIM extends a heartfelt thank you and farewell to Dr. Jeff Manko, one of our remarkable directors as he takes on a larger role in the Emergency Medicine Department. In his role at NYSIM, Dr. Manko has supported countless SIM and OSCE programs for our CUNY and NYU Grossman School of Medicine partners. Dr. Manko created a fun, engaging, and outstanding environment for simulation education at NYSIM. We know our colleagues at the Emergency Medicine Residency are lucky to have him as program director. Thank you, Dr. Manko for all of your contributions to NYSIM ’ s team, mission, and vision. Please join us in thanking and congratulating Dr. Manko!

We are also delighted to highlight our Senior Simulation Operations Associate, Cynthia Reyes who recently celebrated her five year anniversary with NYSIM! Cynthia joined our team in 2017 as an SOA, and has brought simulation expertise, her joyful personality, and her passion for healthcare education to NYSIM every day. Cyn- thia has supported countless CUNY and NYUGSOM simulations on- site at our center, as well as in-situ’s on the NYULH hospital units across campuses. Faculty often provide feedback citing that her crea- tivity and innovative solutions contribute to a highly realistic simula- tion experience. We’ve seen how her keen attention to detail and excellent organization ensure faculty can focus their energy on teaching during a Sim. Her colleagues highlight how her reliability and great sense of humor keep us smiling, and help us remain resili- ent. NYSIM is truly grateful for her dedication and service to our learning community. Congratulations, Cynthia! Thank you for all you do and have done to strengthen our team.
NYSIM is very excited to introduce our newest team member, Jeremy Condit. Jeremy joined NYSIM in April 2022 as a Simulations Operations Associate. Prior to joining the NYSIM team, he was an Emergency Medical Technician working with 911 systems, and an event manager for concert and athletic events, recruiting and managing teams of caregivers nationwide. Jeremy is passionate about delivering positive patient out- comes to diverse populations. Outside of NYSIM, he enjoys distance running, yoga, and SCUBA diving. At NYSIM, Jeremy supports the daily operations of our manikin- based and task trainer-based simulation programs. We already value his contributions to our team. Please join us in welcoming Jeremy to the NYSIM community!
