New Simulation Equipment!

NYSIM is pleased to share two new task trainers acquired to improve and expand simulation education resources. The first, pictured above, is a CorMan Adult Nasogastric/Nasojejunal Feeding Trainer. It includes:

• Measurement, placement and securement of nasogastric and nasojejunal tubes
• Insertion of gastrostomy device
• Tube misplacement into left or right lung
• Enteral feeding via nasogastric, nasojejunal or gastrostomy devices
• Administration of liquid based medicines
• Not ultrasoundable

The second, pictured above, is a Birthing Simulator PROMPT Flex - Advanced. This trainer’s modular design allows for multiple training scenarios that you can tailor to your specific course needs. Additional modules and features include:

• Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH), Enhanced C-Section, Cervical Dilatation & Effacement (CD&E), Cervical Cerclage, Lower Legs, Compression Suture Uterus
• Baby model has improved shoulder and hip joints
• Bluetooth enabled baby allows for Force Monitoring with a scenario-based software (downloadable from the website)
• Drills run with the software can be recorded for later review
