Speakers announced for 3rd Annual NYSIM Hot Topics in Simulation Education Symposium - October 14th, 2015

The Hot Topics co-chairs are pleased to announce that Drs. Pamela Jeffries, Daniel Raemer and William Dunn have accepted our invitation to be the 2015 plenary speakers. William Dunn, MD, FCCP, FCCM, is Associate Pro-fessor of Medicine, and a Consultant in the Division of Pulmonary and Criti-cal Care Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. Formerly he was the director of the simulation center and has a particular interest in systems integration and patient safety. Daniel Raemer, PhD is a principal faculty member and the Director of Research and Development at the Center for Medical Simulation in Boston and is an Associate Professor of Anesthesia at Mass General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Pamela Jeffries, PhD, RN, FAAN, ANEF, is a Professor in the School of Nursing and the Vice Provost of Digital Initiatives at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Her work has been critical in shaping the use of Simulation in Nursing Education interna-tionally. In addition to their influential work in simulation education all three speakers have served as president’s of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
